After reading Bradley P. Beaulie's excellent "Twelve Kings in Sharakai" earlier in the year, I thought I'd go back and give his original series a go. It's got a lot to recommend it - original world, uncommon inspiration, complex family dynamics -though with a few rough edges, too.
